BioShock Infinite is a first-person shooter developed by Irrational Games with additional help from 2K Australia, and published by 2K Games on March 26, 2013. The game is the third installment in the BioShock franchise, and the first installment in the series to move away from the underwater setting of the original game, instead establishing an alternate timeline and a new city; the sky-bound, Americana inspired Columbia.

Much as the first game in the series was a deconstruction of Objectivism, and the second game sought to deconstruct Collectivism, Bioshock Infinite was written as a contemporary critique piece with several overarching themes, commenting on Nationalism and the concept of "American Exceptionalism", Fundamentalism, Racism, Classism and the self-repeating nature of violent protest, among numerous others.

The game, alongside its two predecessors, was remastered and rereleased for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One as part of BioShock: The Collection on September 13, 2016. Unlike the first two games, this remastered version has minimal new work, instead simply being a port of the PC version accounting for the possible higher specs.
