LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game is an action-adventure game based on the events of the Star Wars prequel trilogy recreated with LEGO construction block toys, developed by Traveler's Tales and published by LucasArts on March 29, 2005 for the Playstation 2, Xbox and Gamecube. An additional port of the game for the Game Boy Advance, which was developed by Griptonite Games and published by Eidos Interactive.
After the game's tremendous success, Traveller's Tales began releasing numerous sequels, both direct such as LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy and indirect using other franchises such as LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures. The game also saw an updated remake, adding new levels characters and fusing content with LEGO Star Wars II, called LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga.
